The Competitiveness Project established a Research Department to offer assistance in performing research and developing business intelligence of interest to potential FDI prospects and Macedonian market makers. There are four research assistants on project staff dedicated to performing research for our partners.
What we offer
The Competitiveness Project created an extensive and resourceful library consisting of economic databases, sector analyses and reports, statistical information and online resources. Our research assistants are trained in using advanced ICT market analyzing tools, CRM systems and commercial databases.
Our process

Generally research assistants are receiving research tasks from different sources, including Invest Macedonia, Ministers for FDI staff, directly from external clients and from internal project consultants. When a research request is received, the research team leader determines if the request qualifies for research, and authorizes the activity by creating a structured query specifying the time for completion. |
When a research request is received, the research team leader determines if the request qualifies for research, and authorizes the activity by creating a structured query specifying the time for completion. The research assistants then perform the research and prepares a simple report. This is then submitted to the project employee who authorized the research, who distributes the research report to the external client requesting the research.
Typical research requests
- Research data of interest to prospective FDIs , such as specific details pertaining to certain sectors associated with their prospective business operations
- Research addressing the needs of local businesses looking for information about specific business opportunities abroad, such as possible market linkages and integration into buyers’ supply chains
- Research in support of project staff needs in collecting and analyzing critical data relevant to pursuing viable prospects for FDIs and developing market makers
The research is performed for 2-3 days, providing structured report of digested raw data. Main categories of research are related to: supply chain integration, market linkages, workforce development, access to finance and infrastructure development.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a necessary and fundamental principle guiding all research performed by the Competiveness Project’s Research Department. All project staff and research assistants have signed and are guided by strict confidentiality agreements.
